Grand Canyon to Vegas to Utah

The last you heard from the Peak family we were camping at the entrance to the Grand Canyon. We spent the better part of yesterday enjoying the gorgeous views of the Canyon. After about the 3rd hour there I asked Ellie if she was enjoying it. Her comment was, "Well, Mom, it just looks like a bunch of rocks." I guess she wasn't having as much fun throwing the rocks into the big ditch as the boys were.

We left the Grand Canyon and headed to Las Vegas. This is the best and only picture we could get of the Hoover Dam as we crossed over.

Today didn't start out the best because Sheryl (the motorcoach) had to spend a good 5 hours in the shop for some repairs. She's still running a little hot. Chris has to slow her down to 45-55 mph to climb some of these mountains. That can make for a very long trip. While Sheryl was in the hospital, Chris decided to show the kids some of the Las Vegas sights. (Vegas was NEVER in our original trip plans.)

A little bumper car action at Circus Circus.

Burgers at In-N-Out.

Chocolate Fountain at the Bellagio.

Our view coming into Utah. It was beautiful!

Chris and his copilot. Drew has been very helpful hooking up the coach each night.

Cedar City, Utah where we sleep tonight. Grilled chicken outside and sleeping with the windows open. The weather is perfect! Glad to be gone from the hellacious heat of Las Vegas! Who knows where the road will lead tomorrow.
